A1 level. Beginner's lower level
Able to understand and use familiar essential expressions and key phrases to meet specific needs. B1 level. The lower level of advanced
Able to understand the main idea of clear texts about familiar subjects encountered at work, school, leisure, etc. Able to deal with most travel situations in the target language country. Able to communicate in many expected situations of everyday life and in some unexpected situations. Able to produce simple coherent text on familiar or interesting topics. Able to describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes, wishes, give brief reasons and explain opinions or plans.
B2 level. Advanced advanced level
Able to understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, as well as specialized discussions on professional topics. Able to communicate spontaneously and freely both verbally and in writing, so communicating with native speakers without causing them tension or feeling it yourself is quite possible. Able to produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of topics and to explain one's point of view on the issues under consideration, setting out the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
C1
Able to understand a variety of complex longer texts and understand subtext. Able to spontaneously, freely, without searching for means of expression for a long time, express his opinion, attitude, views. Able to use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Able to produce clear, well-composed, detailed text on complex topics in accordance with the requirements of style and form, using appropriate linking devices.
C2
Can easily understand basically everything he hears or reads. By consistently retelling discussions, stories or opinions, is able to summarize information from different sources read or listened to. Able to express his opinion, attitude, views spontaneously, completely freely and accurately, conveying the nuances of meaning, even in more complex situations.
